Whether you’re a beginner learning the basics, an intermediate refining your craft, or an expert looking to push your skills even further, we are confident you will find value with us.
What makes Cinematic Academy different from YouTube?
While YouTube offers a lot of free content, it’s often scattered and dragged out to maximise ad revenue for channels.
We have no interest in wringing out our viewers for retention. Instead, we focus on delivering concise, no-fluff lessons that give you exactly what you need—fast.
Above all, our Academy is designed to fast-track your success. With a tightly-knit community, tailored guidance, and unique opportunities, it delivers far more efficiency and long-term value than free alternatives.
What's the difference between the Lifetime and Yearly Pass?
The Lifetime Access Pass gives you full, instant access to all content and upgrades, including the our new editing bundles and Cinegrams Master Bundle, with no further payments ever required.
The Yearly Pass, though slightly cheaper, is also tiered, meaning you'll need to unlock a lot of the content by leveling up within the community. It requires an annual subscription fee to maintain access after the first year.
Do I need expensive gear to join?
No, expensive gear isn’t required. While having good equipment can help, today’s mobile phones are powerful enough to produce high-quality content.
Our courses focus on the principles of filmmaking, photography, and content creation, so you can apply them no matter what gear you’re using. We also provide guidance on gear upgrades when you're ready.
What software do you use in your tutorials?
We currently use Lightroom for photography and DaVinci Resolve for video editing, particularly for professional color grading (and it's free).
However, our focus is on teaching universal principles that can be applied to any program, so no matter what software you use, you'll be able to implement what you learn.
As the academy grows, we’ll also be adding tutorials for Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, and CapCut to provide even more options for our students.
Can I pay in installments?
Depending on your region and credit score, you may be eligible to pay in installments with PayPal Pay in 4. Simply select PayPal at checkout and scroll down to choose the installments option.
If this option doesn’t appear, it means PayPal hasn’t made it available for your account or region.
Alternatively, feel free to contact our team, and we’ll arrange a private, secure link so you can pay in installments using an alternative payment method.
How long will it take to complete the courses?
Our courses are designed to be flexible and concise. You can complete them in as little as 1-2 weeks if you’re dedicated, but you’ll also have lifetime access to revisit lessons and continue learning at your own pace if you hold a Lifetime Access Pass.
